Roles and Responsibilities
Artistic Director
The ECC's Artistic Director (AD) is responsible for ensuring that quality music education is provided. The AD hires accompanists and conductors and works closely with the Promotions Coordinator and choir conductors to plan concerts.
The AD is responsible for overall artistic planning and direction and reports to the board.
The AD provides guidance and expertise to the conductors, works with them to plan concert repetoire, and gives approval to the selection of guest artists for concerts.
The AD is responsible for the maintenance of the music library, orders music, and approves music purchases by conductors.
Member Coordinator
The Member Coordinator (MC) is responsible for the set-up and operations of each choir.
Through regular contact with chairpersons and comittee members, the activities of ECC choirs are coordinated and reported back to board members.
The MC is responsible for advertising for auditions, advertising and booking of concerts, including leases, technical details, program and ticket printing.
The MC assists in fundraising activities and works closely with the Artistic Director regarding day to day concerns and performance activities.
Bingo/Casino Coordinator
The ECC's Bingo Coordinator (BC) is responsible for overall coordination of bingo and casino volunteer staffing.
The BC works closely with the Promotions Coordinator and the individual choir members to ensure that members have completed their bingo responsibilities and that those interested in working additional bingos have the opportunity to do so.
